Singing and science are not often linked, but one musically talented Ag Science researcher working at Auckland University’s Liggins Institute believes he has a lot to sing about and has put his research findings to music.
Matthew Barnett is investigating epigenetics and whether food can turn genes on or off. In the future, Matthew’s research may lead to foods being developed to specifically match an individual’s genotype and any health problems they may have. Personalised diets are also a likely outcome.
